Brands and agencies aren’t reaching young people on the web effectively, according to research by YouthNet.
The research revealed community is a key part of the web for 16-24-year-olds, 84% saying the internet brought likeminded people together. Some 76% said it ensured their friends were available whenever and wherever they were needed, and 38% said they had good friends online that they’d never met in real life.
Last week saw an interesting talk hosted by Emphasis Media, a publishing and media sales house in Hong Kong. It had brought over the heads of the Association of Publishing Agencies (APA) from the UK to explain why marketers should be investing more in customer publishing.
Sainsbury's is resurrecting its Little Ones baby club after four years, pitting it against Tesco's Baby and Toddler Club.
A club magazine and website will be produced by Seven Squared, which also publishes Sainsbury's customer magazine.
