Online shopping is set to overtake traditional in-store shopping with 90% of UK consumers searching for their latest purchase via the internet, claims a new report.
Only 8% more consumers shopped in-store than they did online last year, claims the research. Just under half of those polled, 48%, said they received a better level of service online compared to when they shopped in-store. Read more »
As predicted by many US newspapers the Apple iPad got off to a solid start at the weekend with the company reporting that it had shifted over 300,000 devices in the US in the first few days. Apple can expect to sell around six million iPads in its first year. That's the view of analysts Morgan Stanley who are one of a number of companies making predictions about the new Apple tablet PC's expected market penetration. To put those sales into context the iPhone sold 9.3 million units in its first year.
