August launches global social-media project for GAP

August is delighted to announce news of its latest digital project, #1969denim, for global fashion brand GAP.

The August team has been working with GAP to develop and build a flexible, highly interactive and shareable Facebook-hosted solution, alongside creating original seasonal content.

#1969denim is a global denim-brand awareness and education campaign. It is designed to illustrate the brand story of GAP’s iconic denim range through street-style photography using real people not models. The Facebook app is accompanied by a strategic, traffic-driving media plan to stimulate UGC. 


Each season the campaign will be translated into 16 languages for customers in 37 countries. #1969denim is accessible through GAP’s Facebook page
