August recommissioned to work with the Artichoke Trust for LUMIERE 2013

August has been appointed to work on creative producer Artichoke's LUMIERE festivals. This year the event will form the finale of Derry-Londonderry's City of Culture programme and will also return to Durham for the third time.

August was recommissioned to work on the LUMIERE festival following the success of its work for the London 2012 Festival's Peace Camp project and LUMIERE in Durham in 2011.

The Durham festival will take place between 14-17 November 2013 and the Derry- Londonderry festival between 28 November-1 December 2013. In these magical light festivals artists and designers will use light in its many forms to transform the cities into vast outdoor galleries.

August Managing Director Mark Lonergan said: "This is a beautiful, cultural and social project and we are delighted to be working with Artichoke for the third year in a row."

Artichoke Co-director Nicky Webb said: "It's been an absolute pleasure to work with the digital team at August Media since 2011. They've created websites for our projects which are beautiful, functional and innovative, and which appeal to the artists we work with as well as our audiences and stakeholders. We're looking forward to working with them a third time."
