The CMA host monthly Digital Breakfasts for agencies and marketers, giving unique insight into the digital world with its high profile speakers.

For our October breakfast we have created an extra special event, which will be running as a fringe event for the Festival of Marketing, with key note speaker from Facebook.

At this Digital Breakfast you will discover the key trends of 2013 and beyond, from organizations and people who are at the cutting edge of the content strategy revolution. We'll look at how an optmised content strategy contributes to a brand's findability online, how new forms of distribution affect your publishing strategy and how doing it right leads to greater business success.

Speakers and panellists

1. Alastair Cotterill, Creative Strategist, Facebook
Creativity at scale - the role of art and science in designing content 'fit for feed': Alastair will be showcasing how to add to people's experience on Facebook and drive real business results (not just social voodoo) for your brand.

Alastair is a Creative Strategist in the Global Creative Solutions group at Facebook, helping brands design and build solutions on the platform. Prior to joining Facebook Alastair set up and ran Mindshare's digital creative offering, managing a team of strategists, analysts, creatives and producers delivering programs for brands such as Ford, Nike, HSBC, IBM and Unilever. Before this he led award-winning work from various account, planning and production roles at Dare (Campaign's Digital Agency of the Decade) and DLKW.    

2. Nic McCarthy, Director of Content and Kevin Sutherland, Strategy Director at Seven    
Are brands making promises they can't keep? 
Why content is a powerful and tangible way for brands to keep the promises they make to their customers, from campaigns and customer journeys, to colleagues and collegiate working. With examples from Sainsbury's, McDonald's, Electrolux and lots more.    

Jassim Ahmad, Global Head of Multimedia and Interactive Innovation, Reuters
Jassim will discuss the conception and development behind Reuter's Wider Image app for iPad - a unique contextual storytelling experience combining the power of photography with depth and interactivity. The app has won major awards and accoldades, including the AOP Best Mobile and Tablet Innovation 2013, and has been heralded as an "unprecedented news photography experience" and "one of the most interesting iPad apps to come from the news category."
