CPL won a competitive pitch to land the contract for the magazine, which will help spearhead the charity's drive to substantially increase its membership base.
The first issue of the new quarterly magazine - to be available in print and digital formats - will be published in April, with the CPL team managing the whole process, from content creation through to mailing and fulfilment.
Some 10 million people in the UK have arthritis and CPL's vision for the magazine revolves around creating a consumer/lifestyle title that will be of interest to people living with arthritis - and those who support them.
Peter Rowbottom, head of fundraising at Arthritis Care, said: ‘Throughout the pitch process, we were really impressed by the CPL team and the way they responded to our brief. We can't wait to see how those ideas will be turned into reality in the first and subsequent issues.'
Mike Sewell, managing director of CPL, added: ‘There are a lot of misconceptions about arthritis, including the fact that only older people have the condition. In fact, people of all ages in the UK live with arthritis and the vision for the magazine is that it will inform and inspire readers while reinforcing the benefits of membership of Arthritis Care.'
Arthritis Care has 189 branches in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. As well as a free and confidential helpline (0808 800 4050), the charity also offers face-to-face support through its local branches, giving advice on living with the condition and access to a range of other services.
