Escape recognised as Best Customer Magazine, again

Escape, the on-board magazine published by Think for First Great Western (FGW) has been named gold winner at the 2012 Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards held in Edinburgh last week.

CIPR chief executive Jane Wilson MCIPR commented: ‘The CIPR PRide Awards celebrate the best PR and communications campaigns and teams from across the region. The sheer number of high-quality entries received this year, especially when things are still pretty tough out there economically, is testament to a thriving regional industry. The CIPR PRide Awards represent the best, most creative and most effective PR work across the UK, and to win an award is a great achievement.'

Judges comments on the magazine included: ‘Escape fulfils the brief of encouraging a wide range of travellers to travel again. Objectives were clear and results show they have been met. All this and a masthead that can be read from the other end of the carriage - priceless!'

‘Wow,' says Tilly Boulter, Think's chief executive, ‘we are thrilled that Escape has been recognised in this way - the team work so hard to ensure that it maximises all opportunities to encourage customers to travel with FGW again and again. A truly brilliant customer magazine, and a very deserving winner of this amazing gold award!'

Escape was also recognised as the Best Customer Magazine at the PPA Scotland Awards in October.
