Hot Rum Cow, the drinks magazine launched by White Light Media, has collected three awards in the past week. White Light's Creative Director Eric Campbell won the Designer of the Year Award at the PPA Independent Publisher Awards and then picked up the prize for Best Consumer Magazine Design at the Scottish Magazine Awards. On the same night, White Light's Managing Director, Fraser Allen, was named Scottish Magazine Publisher of the Year.
The awards recognised Hot Rum Cow's role in attracting clients to White Light Media – in the past five months the magazine has directly led to major projects with the London Wine Fair, Royal Bank of Scotland and a PLC in the retail sector.
Speaking at the Scottish Magazine Awards, the Chair of the Judges Sally Cartwright (Chairman of the ABC and ex-Publishing Director of Hello! magazine), said: "Hot Rum Cow is a remarkable magazine, so beautifully designed and produced. As a calling card for a content marketing agency, it beats anything I have seen before. It must have a huge pass-on readership."
