The digital editions, including all back issues since 2010, are available free on Apple's Newsstand for iPad and iPhone. Issues will also now be available as a PDF from the new look Oxford Today website.
FuturePlus was hired by the University to re-launch and re-design the Oxford Today brand, which reaches 165,000 alumni through the print publication. The new Oxford Today website and digital editions focus on short-form video, galleries and audio material allowing the university to be showcased more effectively through richer forms of digital content.
The magazine will now be printed twice a year with higher production values and increased from 52pp to 68pp.
Jayne Caple, Managing Director of FuturePlus, says: FuturePlus is a leader in digital media applications and putting Oxford Today on Apple's Newsstand is an excellent example of our pro-active stance. Oxford Today is also the pre-eminent university alumni publication, and this development cements that leadership.
Anne Brunner Ellis, Head of Publications and Web Office at Oxford Today, says:"Having Oxford Today available as an app means that the magazine can be read wherever you are. And readers now have further benefits with Apple's Newsstand ability to alert you to new editions as well as accessing recent past editions."
