Paw power!

To add to its three CMA Awards shortlist nominations, My VIP magazine, published for Pets at Home by John Brown, is carving yet another notch on its dog bedpost in the form of a shortlisting in the CIM Marketing Excellence Awards 2013. Not bad for a magazine that's less than 10 months old!

My VIP is a groundbreaking keepsake lifestyle publication focussed on helping readers and their pets to enjoy life together. It provides simple and straightforward content in a fun, entertaining, educational and innovative way, and fosters a feeling of teamwork and a sense of community spirit - just like the Pets at Home brand. At the same time My VIP generates significant advertising revenue, enables the company to sell more products and services, and helps to drive people back into stores.

Gavin Hawthorn, Head of CRM at Pets at Home said: "My VIP is a core part of our increasing efforts to bring our loyal customers closer to the breadth of expertise we can offer through our stores, veterinary and grooming services. By working with John Brown to deliver unique content, we are able to help them gain even more from the role their Very Important Pets play in their lives with measurable results.

The Marketing Excellence Awards recognise and reward outstanding marketing by organisations, individuals and teams. High standards of quality and integrity are vital to the success of the marketing profession. Setting standards and benchmarking exemplary marketing is a key part of CIM's Marketing Excellence Awards.

The winners will be announced in February 2014. Claws and fingers crossed!
