Raft of APA members shortlisted for prestigious PPA Awards 2011

Several members of the APA (Association Publishing Agencies) have been shortlisted for the prestigious PPA Awards 2011 after successfully surpassing the first stage of judging.

The PPA Awards provide a benchmark for the whole of the UK magazine industry by showcasing excellence and acknowledging innovation across a range of categories including consumer magazines, business publications and customer magazines.

Key players from the magazine industry will gather to celebrate their achievements on the 15th June at Grosvenor House Hotel.

Julia Hutchison COO APA said: "We are delighted that so many of our members have been acknowledged by the PPA, not only in the Customer Magazine of the Year category but also Designer of the Year and Editorial Campaign of the Year.  Brands are clearly recognising the impact that engaging, entertaining and useful content can make and the shortlist is testament to the standard of today's branded editorial".

Columnist of the Year:

  • Jess Cartner-Morley - John Lewis Edition - John Brown

Editorial Campaign of the Year:

  • Save the Postcard Campaign - British Airways Highlife - Cedar Communications

Designer of the Year:

  • Finnie Finn - Fujitsu I - Redwood
  • Chris Parker - What's Next - John Brown
  • Tan Parmar - Contact - Redwood
