Retail sector research event Weds 27th July

APA Insight The first in a series of events from the APA in partnership with the Royal Mail Media Centre, to give insight into specific sector research, with the focus of this event on how content marketing and customer magazines work for the retail sector. 

Speakers

David Evans, APA Research Consultant

David will be outlining the benefits to retailers of using branded content to build brand loyalty and favourability.

The presentation will look at how branded content engages a retailer's customers and can complement other initiatives such as loyalty programmes. A wide range of sources will be used, including insight from industry sources such as TGI and bespoke sources such as the unique APA Advantage Study. 

Royal Mail - Caroline Marsh, Royal Mail Media Consultant

Caroline, will demonstrate how Royal Mail is working with customers across the Multi Channel and Retail sector, delivering added value and driving improved ROI from just some of the following:

  • - The Role of Catalogues; Best practice and research
  • - Catalogue Critique Tool; offering a complete analysis of your catalogues

Richard Perks, Director of Retail Research Mintel

Consumers in 2011 - How are they thinking?  How are they behaving?  Richard Perks, Director of Retail Research at Mintel will draw on Mintel's consumer research as well published economic data, to throw light on how the retail sector is performing and put it in context with the rest of consumer spending.

He will go on to make some forecasts for the rest of 2011 and the likely course of the recovery into 2012 and 2013.
