The magazine, produced by Progressive Customer Publishing (PCP) for members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), has won awards from the BSME, PPA and CMA. Cree's award comes after creative director Ewan Buck won the PPA Designer of the Year accolade and the magazine was named the CMA's business brand of the year.
The title is a monthly magazine and up-to-the-minute news-based website, covering a wide range of business subjects as well as showcasing the contribution accountants make to the business world. It also has a weekly enewsletter (economia sevendays) and is available as an app in both the Apple and Google Play newsstands.
The BSME judges praised the quality of the magazine's content and in particular the range and profile of many of the contributors. PCP managing director Dan Davey said: "This award win means economia has won awards at the BSMEs, the CMAs and the PPAs. We currently have an editor and designer of the year (BSME and PPA), and team/business brand of the year (CMA). There are few magazines or brands that have won this elusive awards grand-slam hat-trick... and the economia team has done it in only the second year since launching. I am immensely proud of everyone and also hugely appreciate of our client, ICAEW, who have given us the freedom to create something very different in the market, and played a key part in its success."
Harry McAdoo, communications director at the ICAEW said: "This is well deserved recognition for Richard and the team. We are delighted with the way the magazine has developed over the last two years."
