Held at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole on Friday 2 November, the awards were hosted by Jennie Bond, former BBC Royal Correspondent. The awards were judged by a team of more than 50 judges who concentrated on measurement and effectiveness when deciding on the winning entries.
Dawn Walker, PR Officer at Midlands Co-operative Society, said in recognition of the importance of this award: "The membership magazines produced in partnership with River are a really important part of the benefits for our members so it is great to win this award. We are delighted."
Angela Cranfield, Communications Account Co-ordinator for The Midcounties Co-operative, says: "Creating such a great, relevant publication in conjunction with Midlands Co-operative and River showcases the power of working co-operatively; I'm sure that's what the judges have picked up on in awarding us best external publication."

This award comes at an important time for River having recently been shortlisted for Marketing Magazine's Content Marketing Agency of the Year.
