Taking over from Harriet Cooper, Sophy brings a wealth of experience and understanding of the The London Magazine’s audience, having served as deputy editor for one year and as acting editor since November 2013.
With experience including having served as the editor of Hotline magazine for Virgin and contributed to a wide range magazines and newspapers, Sophy joined Cedar as the deputy editor for The London Magazine in 2012. Tabitha Lasley, the acting deputy editor, will support her in her new role.
Sophy commented, “I’m thrilled to be the Editor of The London Magazine and looking forward to continuing to work with the team to create engaging editorial that gets Londoners talking.”
Editor-in-chief Maureen Rice said, “The London Magazine may look highly glamorous, but like all real glamour, it takes extremely hard work to maintain, and enormous credit goes to the whole team, led by Sophy, for its continuing success.”
