Vue Entertainment launches new premium film magazine

Vue Entertainment, the UK's leading developer and operator of state-of-the-art-cinemas, is launching a free monthly film magazine called Vue to engage and excite cinema goers across the UK.  The first issue will be launched on March 8th and will be available in foyers at 70 Vue sites across the UK and Ireland.

The premium magazine will be published by Publicis Blueprint, an award-winning publishing agency, and will provide cinema goers with a mixture of exclusive news, interviews and previews about all of the latest and upcoming releases, all in one place.

Vue will launch with a distribution of 200,000 copies and will be audited by the Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC). The magazine will create a new platform to target families and film fans on a wide scale and give advertisers the reach and right editorial environment to connect with their target audiences.

The first issue of Vue will be supported by Disney with an interactive front cover to support new release, Oz, which will offer readers the chance to win a ‘money can't buy' family trip to Australia using blippar augmented reality technology.

Renowned film critic, feature writer and former deputy editor of Film4.com, Richard Luck, will act as editorial consultant, bringing with him a wealth of experience and entertainment insight to provide the right balance of exclusives and in-depth features.

Michael Kalli, Head of Sales & Advertising at Vue comments: "We are really excited to be rewarding our loyal customers with a quality magazine to keep them up to date with all of the latest action from on and off of the screen. It's important to us that we create a premium publication to match the quality content inside.

"We are confident that we will reach a mass audience within our cinemas and are looking forward to working with our distribution partners to bring the very best entertainment and news."

Richard Luck, Editor of Vue, comments: "It's great to be involved in the development of the new Vue magazine. From looking at the latest releases and projects to talking to the biggest names of the past, present and future, we want our title to celebrate, investigate and laugh both with and, occasionally, at this wonderful thing we call film."

Since Vue Entertainment was first established in 1999, it has grown to be the second largest exhibitor in the world outside of North America operating 120 state-of-the-art multiplex cinemas in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Portugal, Denmark and Taiwan with over 55 million customers a year and £500 million of turnover.
