Wardour strikes oil with SOCO International

Wardour strikes oil with SOCO International SOCO International plc, the FTSE 250 oil and gas exploration company, has appointed Wardour to create and produce its 2009 annual report after a competitive pitch.

The agency, a specialist in corporate communications and customer publishing, drew on its strong journalistic credentials to offer SOCO a new approach to its report.

Rob Harris, Corporate Financial Controller of SOCO, said: "We had a really good meeting with Wardour - the team's energy, insight and enthusiasm were very compelling.

"Our report is different to many. It is far more than a statutory document - it is an important showcase of SOCO to its business stakeholders, from governments to contractors.

"Wardour convinced us they were up to the challenge of creating something unique."

The project, which starts immediately, will be run through the agency's corporate communications team, run by Wardour director Shelley Murdoch. She said: "SOCO is a fantastic company to be working with - and their success story is a great one to be telling through their annual report. We are delighted to have the opportunity."
