The new site includes full e-commerce functionality and provides subscription access to a huge archive of Osprey’s military history content. The site also includes blogs, forums and personalised my library functionality to allow Osprey users to manage their personal collection of Osprey titles.
Zone designed and built the new website, including a custom content management application and integration with a hosted shopping cart solution provided by Random House. Zone’s team worked closely with Osprey to define the subscription functionality and to deliver a solution to encourage loyal Osprey readers to interact with the brand online.
Rebecca Smart, Managing Director of Osprey said: “Osprey have become synonymous with publishing niche books which appeal to a wide variety of audiences. By integrating e-books and a digital archive we can ensure that whatever your interest in military history, you can find the information on the Osprey site”.
James Freedman, Chief Executive of Zone, said: “This project engaged our full range of strategic, creative and technical skills, and we’re delighted to launch the new Osprey site today. The Osprey audience is passionate about the quality of their content, and an understanding of content lies at the heart of our approach to digital media.”
